monthly

discussion and meditation
Over 2,500 years ago Shakyamuni Buddha reached
Enlightenment and gave teachings
to his disciples. In the 11th century, Atisha took these teachings
to Tibet in the
form of Lam.Rim, a graduated path to
Enlightenment. In the 14th
century, the Lam.Rim
found its pinnacle through the teachings of Lama
Tsong Khapa. In the 20th
and 21st centuries,
Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche transmitted
and continue to give these same teachings
to their disciples in a deeply, experiential
tradition of study and practice.
Through their teachings, thousands of seekers
have since discovered the truth of what Buddha taught.
These teachings are the core of the Discovering
Buddhism series.
This self-study series consists of 14 modules
and gives students a strong foundation in
the teachings and practices of Tibetan Mahayana
Buddhism.
We listen to pre-assigned teachings at home and
then come together monthly
for a group discussion and meditation.

its 14 modules, consult http://www.fpmt.org/education/dbdescription.asp
