WITH HEARTFELT THANKS !

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche on his visit to Japan the end of September. Rinpoche's teachings and Medicine Buddha initiation were attended by many and enjoyed by all. We hope he will return to Japan soon. DNSJ would like to thank everyone involved in Zopa Rinpoche's whirlwind visit. It would not have been possible without Rinpoche's attendants, Takiko Ohtome-san's flawless translation, participants, volunteers, DNSJ members, patrons, benefactors, dharma friends from Australia, Singapore, Taiwan and others from Rinpoche's organization, Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT). Fortunately for us, Rinpoche plans to visit Japan more frequently. He shared his vision of a future center in Japan and now we must plan. He also encouraged us to do more activities, in addition to what we currently have on our calendar (see below). Please watch this space for more, or better yet, join in with us!

Classes are held at BodyChance Studio. Please go to Studio and enquire for room.

We are situated 10 minutes from JR Meguro station, on the green JR Yamanote circle line. Other lines are Tokyu Meguro Line, Subway Nanboku Line and Subway Toei Mita Line.

Dates do sometimes change for unavoidable reasons, but we always update the website for English teachings and a message is sent out to those on the English Mailing List at Google (see joining box above)

The classes are open to anyone, however teachings are only given in English with no Japanese translation available.

We have three monthly programs:

MONDAYS
Mr Kunchok Sithar Vice President and Lecturer at Potala College, has graciously accepted to teach IN ENGLISH each month on the 4th Monday; or another Monday if it's a holiday. Click here for more details.

TUESDAYS
A virtual group reading of the Sutra of Golden Light with members in Japan and friends around the world. Every 3rd Tuesday of the month anytime between 9:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. in your home.Click here for more details.
