Kyabje Lama Thubten

Zopa Rinpoche

 

Born in 1946 in the Mt. Everest region of Nepal, at the age of three Rinpoche was recognized as the reincarnation of the Lawudo Lama.  In 1974 Rinpoche and his teacher, Lama Thubten Yeshe, began teaching and supporting Buddhist centers around the world.  After Lama Yeshe’s death in 1984, Rinpoche has been the sole Spiritual Director guiding FPMT’s 150 centers in 33 countries.  Rinpoche has also written numerous books.  Read more at: http://www.fpmt.org/teachers/zopa/bio.asp

Suggested Donation:  ¥7,000 pre-registered (¥8,000 at door) or whatever you can give

Note:  Chairs will be provided; please bring your own zabuton.

·      Friday, 9/26, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

MEDICINE BUDDHA  Initiation                                  Saturday, 9/27, 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Location:  Shomanji Temple

Station/Map: Shirokanedai (Mita & Namboku train lines), Takanawadai (Asakusa train line) [Map]

Suggested Donation:  ¥10,000 or whatever you can give

We request Shugden practitioners not take part in the Medicine Buddha initation.

Note:  If possible, initiation participants should try and avoid “black foods” on the day of the initiation.  Black foods include meat, eggs, onions, garlic and radishes.

·      ¥10,000 the expense for Rinpoche or a monk for 1 day stay in

serviced apartment
